Seida Building

Seida Building

Seida Building

The project included three interventions on the same block: six terraced homes preceded by a gas station, now in a very poor state of repair, and existing volumes that the architect made the most of by converting them into workshops and a store for the Seida car compny, which are no longer standing. The residential accomodation is characterized essentially by the main and rear facedes. Whereas one is configured by a more horizontal line, with an array of terraces created by transverse separations in the manner of a jalousie, the other is arranged in a „comb-like” manner, with generous courtyards that penetrate the building, creating small service couryards and giving the whole a more vertical geometry.
