The Barcelona based multidisiplinary studio Lagranja will design and produce the medals for the most successful swimmers of the 15th FINA World Championships Barcelona 2013.
The company’s young artists have won the medal design competition held by members of the Barcelona 2013 Organizing Committee, which appointed Lagranja for the task in the last meeting.
Lagranja, founded by Gerard Sanmartí and Gabriele Schiavon, is named after the street where the office was founded, although they moved the studio to Barcelona’s designer district that is commonly known as 22@. The creative artists have developed projects for Santa & Cole with the family Belloch and for Concepta with Ibiza chair.
“Basically, this is what we like to do; look for new fields, move ideas from one context to another, keep discovering projects and deluding ourselves with each new assignment” explain Sanmartí and Schiavon on their website as the founders are very excited to collaborate with Barcelona 2013.
