CENIM – Marine Research Center

Since the site was located right on the seafront, the architects felt that in a programme of offices and labs such as this one, it should be possible to view the sea from all angles. Hence the form of the building. On the other hand, the building reflects the intention to be neutral and act as a pedestal for the sculpture by Frank O. Gehry, which is the true urban landmark.
