Library in Gràcia

Standing on a major street corner, that connects Gràcia with Barcelona, the site shares the domestic dimensions tissue. The civic programme it was required to accommodate -the district library- exceeded both the spatial and emblematic nature of the site. The architects took this as the key to organise and formalise the library, creating a habitable basement and endowing the façade with elements that express the importance of the interior.
